The unit produces without a grid connection. Where existing hydrogen and pipeline infrastructure is available, siting takes advantage of it.
Siting
Andalusia, near Seville
First-of-a-kind siting leverages existing hydrogen infrastructure in the Aljarafe area, an existing gas pipeline within 1-8 km that is convertible to hydrogen, and proximity to the European Hydrogen Backbone.
Irradiation of approximately 1,800 kWh/kWp supports the off-grid solar profile the design depends on. No grid connection is required for production.

Production, then pooling, then offtake.
Off-grid unit
Solar electricity, water and air converted on site into liquid methanol. No grid connection required.
Liquid at ambient
Methanol is liquid at ambient conditions and handled with existing liquid fuel infrastructure. No cryogenics, no new vessel design.
Multi-unit volume
Output from replicated units is pooled so institutional buyers contract against volume, not a single module.
Into the obligation
Phase 1 volume clears through distributors and blenders. Phase 2 and 3 target shipping lines, bunker suppliers and chemical majors.
Bunkering and port strategy: Port, terminal or bunkering partners will be published only once contracted.
Certifications: RFNBO and ISCC certified. Compliant with FuelEU Maritime, RED III, EU ETS, ReFuelEU Aviation.
