Overview

The FOAK (First-of-a-Kind) Andalusia project is Greenberg Energy’s demonstration unit, integrating five proven components into a standardised modular e-methanol production system.

Off-grid photovoltaics (15 MW), battery (7.5 MWh), electrolysis (6.0 MW), Direct Air Capture (3,200 tpa CO₂) and methanol synthesis (2,000 tpa) integrated in one standardised unit. The holistic energy management system (AI-optimised asset control) is the proprietary IP layer that enables off-grid operation.

Offtakers

Phase 1 output is intended for distributors, blenders and small industrial buyers who can absorb single-module volume without an institutional contract.

Strategic Context

The FOAK unit serves as the proof-of-concept for Greenberg’s modular approach. Success here validates the factory-built model and enables scaling to Phase 2 (4 units) and Phase 3 (16 units).
